NCRD7RGB Installation
1. Screw mount to your wheel base
*Asetek wheel bases have a slanted front screw hole, so included are optional spacers -
the mounts can be mounted without them, but some prefer to use the spacers. They are to be
placed between the mount and the wheel base
-
2. Attach DDU to the mount with the M6 Screw and nut. Adjust to your desired height and angle before tightening screw.
*note: the nut should fit inside the groove of the mount as shown
3. Plug in to your PC via both USB-C Ports
left port for LEDS,
right port for vocore screen
-
4. Install Vocore driver found at https://simhubdash.com/Drivers/VOCOREScreenSetup.exe
*select “VOCORE LCD”
5. To set up the LED's open up SimHub and click on "Arduino" on the left panel and under "My Hardware" select "Single Arduino" and press "Open Arduino Setup Tool". Click "Start From Scratch" once prompted.
-
6. In the next screen on the left panel scroll down to WS2812B RGB LED and set the count to 24. Make sure DIN is set to 6 (it usually is by default).
-
7. On the right panel in the "Board" dropdown menu select "Arduino Nano (ATMega328), Old Bootloader)" and under Ardruino Serial Port select whichever port that usb is plugged into.
-
8. After everything is selected check the "I understand" box and press "Upload to Arduino". Now everything is properly set up and you can begin customizing your screen and leds.
9. To ensure you screen is installed now head over to the Devices tab in SimHub in the left panel and select "Add New Device". Scroll all the way down to Vocore and select "Generic Vocore Screen"
-
10.You can now set up your screen with whichever dash you would like
For the NCRD Dash click here
For the Lovely Dash click here
-
Once the dashes are installed to your SimHub just go to your Dash Studio in SimHub and assign the dash you want to your Vocore Screen
**Note 1: there is a chance your dash will initially be upside down. This is common, to adjust the screens orientation head back over to the Devices tab and click your Generic Vocore Screen and press the "Screen settings" blue button on the right. Here you can adjust the Orientation / contrast etc.
-
***Note 2: SimHub require a license (which is a one time donation of any amount) in order to run in the full 60fps. It will only run in 30fps otherwise, which is useable but will cause the dashes to be choppy
Some other Dashes we recommend trying for wider range of compatibility and customization are:
-
Daniel Newman Racing
(which includes some LED profiles you can try for the RGB's)
-
Lovely Dash MXL
